FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I convert a schematic from 1.20 to 1.12?
Upload your .schem or .litematic file, select "1.12" as the target version, then click Convert. Riptide remaps all changed blocks automatically and delivers a ready-to-use .schematic file.
What happens to blocks that don't exist in the target version?
Riptide uses a comprehensive block mapping database. Blocks that don't exist in the target version are replaced with their closest visual or functional equivalent — and the result screen tells you exactly how many blocks (and which ones) had no equivalent.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum upload size is 512 MB. Conversions run one at a time on a free-tier server, so typical builds take a few seconds while very large builds are queued — the progress bar shows your real position. Files above ~100 MB may take longer.
Does it work with Litematica .litematic files?
Yes. Riptide fully supports .litematic files from the Litematica mod. Each region in the litematic is extracted and converted individually. Vanilla structure block .nbt templates are also supported, both as input and as an output format (any modern target).
